The benefits of Walk and Talk Therapy

Having completed some of my own research and presented on the topic, exploring “how effective is ecotherapy when integrated with the Person Centred Approach” (Gregory, Hartley and Till, 2023) We found Walk and Talk therapy worked particularly well with the person-centred modality. To integrate the core conditions within the approach, empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence with the added proven benefits of being within nature, alongside walking and its physical benefits, it would be hard to find any reasons not to try it.

There are some things to consider though, the impact on confidentiality, accessibility and the weather to name a few.
